History and Information
Nottinghamshire Ladies Past Captains Golf Society (NLPCGS) was formed at an Inaugural meeting held on 20th September 1967 at Wollaton Park Golf Club. Currently 317 ladies are members of the Society from Clubs across the County. Past Captains from other parts of the Country can join the Society if they relocate into Nottinghamshire. Since 1967 there have been 56 Presidents.
On an annual basis the Society organises a Spring Meeting and an Autumn Meeting. Matches are held with Derbyshire and Leicestershire and with the Nottinghamshire Men's Captains Society.
Bridge Drives are held in March and November. The President holds a lunch for members in October. This is a welcome opportunity for the members to meet socially and enjoy each other's company without the challenge of a game of golf.
The Annual General Meeting is held in November.
The President has an annual charity. In 2024 this is Dementia in Notts.
