Matches in 2024

All fixtures will be in the MATCHES section of the website. The scratch team plays 5 matches and the handicap team 3. This year the scratch matches will be in the same format as last year, with 3 singles matches and one foursomes’ match. This was implemented to prepare the juniors for senior county competition.

The finals event, the Festival of Golf will once again be at the Branston Golf and Country Club on 12th August. The final scratch, handicap, 9-hole event and the Pirate golf will all take place there. It would be good to field a larger 9-hole team this year.

Squad Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions will take place on the second Wednesday of each month, starting on Wednesday 14th February at Oakmere Park Golf Club.

Girls with higher handicaps to arrive at 6pm until 7pm and less than 22 handicap to arrive for 7pm. Times will change with the better weather and longer nights.

From April to September coaching will take place at Radcliffe on Trent Golf Club. The aim is for coaching to take place on the course, so players can arrive whenever is suitable to them from 17:30 onwards.  Please register in the clubhouse as you arrive.

Am-Am Fundraiser

This event will take place on Sunday April 21st at Beeston Fields golf club. All the girls will be asked to help run the putting competition, raffle, and clean clubs.

Entry for the players will be online via the website. Please publicise that this is to raise funds for junior golf, so the more entries the better

If you could possibly bring some raffle prizes to coaching that would be very useful.

Nottinghamshire Golf Competitions

All NCLGA fixtures are on the website. Please make a note of the dates.

Try to enter all the championships as soon as you are able as this does help with the planning. Online entries will be available for all NCLGA competitions.

All dates can be found on the Junior Fixtures page or in the Diary, Including the Notts Union events which are also open to girls.

Nipper's Tour

This is open to girls and boys under 12 years on January 1st each year. There are 7 events, all 9 holes or less depending on age and ability. If a girl would prefer to play in an all-girls group, just put this on the application form. The idea is to get out on the course and have fun.
